Simon Hughes MP with Sarah Teather officially opens the Lib Dem HQ in Willesden Green
London Mayoral candidate Simon Hughes MP opened the Brent Liberal Democrat Campaign Office on Saturday (12th July).
Members came from all over London and further away for the opening, including a number of students and young people.
Simon said "I was delighted to be able to open the Brent HQ. It is a very busy office, with lots of campaigning going on. Sarah Teather is a hardworking campaigner who works hard for the people in the area."
Sarah Teather added "More and more local people are showing their support for our campaigns in Brent East. I have also been delighted at the number of people signing our petitions on local issues and coming to join or help Brent Lib Dems."
The Brent Liberal Democrat headquarters is at 82 Walm Lane Willesden Green NW2 4RA.
Local people are continuing to respond well with several new members and offers of help being received.
It is not yet clear when the Labour party will call the by-election, but Sarah Teather and the Liberal Democrats are campaigning all year round on the issues that matter to the people of Brent.
