Sarah Teather and Simon Hughes are calling for tougher action on crime

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather last night attended a meeting of the Willesden Business Association. The Brent East MP vowed to back local businesses in their campaign to cut crime and clean up the area.

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"Local business is so important to our local community. They provide local people with jobs and also a valuable shopping facility for elderly people who may not be able to travel far."

The Brent East MP has vowed to raise concerns over whether CCTV cameras could be placed along the High Road in order to cut crime.

The Brent East MP added:

"CCTV is one way in which crime can be controlled. If local businesses and residents feel that such a system is necessary then I will be happy to offer my support."

If you are a resident of the Brent Central constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
