Queues,Queues and More Queues for Brent Residents Warns Teather

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather, London Lib Dem Mayoral Candidate Simon Hughes and local Lib Dem GLA Candidate Havard Hughes yesterday illustrated the problems residents face in Brent following the closure of local Post Offices.

Yesterday's queues stretched for 10 metres outside the Post Office in Willesden Green. The Liberal Democrats have campaigned strenuously against the closures of local Post Office.

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"The Post Office and the Government must realise what they have done. The Liberal Democrats warned that this would happen, it saddens me that we have been proved right. Imagine if this was the winter with pensioners and disabled people having to queue in the cold pouring rain.

"The Post Office and the Government must realise the impact they are having on local residents lives they are closing our local post offices."
