Local MP Sarah celebrated Diwali with her constituents in Brent

Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather has today congratulated all those who participated in Brent's Diwali Festival in Barham Park.

Sarah Teather, Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East said:

"Brent is surely the best place in Britain to celebrate Diwali. Watching so many communities coming together to celebrate this festival is one of the highlights of my year. The children's costumes and dancing are unbelievable. They put so much effort into their performance.

"Brent Diwali is a shining example of what modern-day Britain should be about with people of all faiths and backgrounds coming together to participate in one another's culture."
