Local MP Sarah thinks it's important to keep in touch with local people
Brent's local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather and her team have called on more than 10,000 households across the borough this Summer.
Throughout the parliamentary recess Sarah has been focused on getting out and about and meeting local people, listening their concerns and promising to raise local issues in parliament.
She has heard how people are angry at Labour's abolition of the 10p tax rate, the crippling health cuts to Brent's NHS services, and Labour's axing of local post offices and police stations.
Sarah continues to drop around and visit residents all year around. Those who would like to help her keep in touch with as many local people as possible can contact her office for more details.
Local Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather said:
"As a local Brent MP it's really important for me to stay in touch with local people. I have really enjoyed my Summer, visiting local community groups, meeting local residents and hearing their concerns about our area.
"There is real anger at the way Labour are attacking our local services and abandoning people in Brent. So many people in our area are struggling to make ends meet. They are deeply worried about Gordon Brown's handling of the economy, and his higher taxes on those who are earning the least.
"I would like to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to stop and talk to me about local issues. When parliament returns on Monday I will be taking your concerns to the Government and speaking up for ordinary local people in Brent."
Those who did not get to speak to Sarah over the Summer can write to her at: Sarah Teather MP, 1 High Road, Willesden Green, NW10 2TE; call on 0208 459 0455; or email at teathers@parliament.uk.
Sarah is also contactable via Facebook, or by dropping into her constituency office on Willesden Green High Road, which is open five days a week.
