Sarah is working hard for local people in Brent
Local Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather has reassured local residents that her constituency office will be open as usual despite the snow.
With hundreds of people across the country staying at home because of extreme weather conditions, Sarah and her team will continue to staff the local office in Willesden Green to help local people with their problems.
Despite suspensions to the Jubilee line and London bus services, Sarah also braved the snow to attend important Commons debates on housing and the recession, and the reform of parliament.
Local Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather said:
"Local residents' problems don't stop because of the snow, so neither will my local office. All of my staff live nearby so thankfully we have been able to carry on our work for local people as normal.
"Despite the bad weather I knew my constituents would want me to attend parliament to vote on these important motions. Building more social housing and reforming parliament to root out abuses are issues far too significant to be ignored simply because of bad weather.
"I urge all my constituents to take care on the roads, and to keep safe and warm while the snow continues."
