The post bag of top local Liberal Democrat campaigner Sarah Teather is bulging with responses to the party's 2003 Brent residents' survey.

Local residents were asked 50 questions on key issues in a survey delivered door-to-door over the last few weeks. Questions ranged from Conservative plans to part-privatise the NHS; charging patients for routine operations – such as hip replacements and hernias; to the recent wave of sub-post office closures by the Labour Government. Labour are closing one third of sub-post offices, including Gladstone Parade on Edgware Road.

Lib Dem Sarah Teather said, "To stand up effectively for Brent it is important to listen to local people. That's why we carried out this special Brent survey. We will be analysing the results fully over the coming weeks and will report our findings back to local residents, as well as taking action."
