Sarah Teather is calling for the removal of derelict phoneboxes from Brent's streets

Brent East MP Sarah Teather has today called for derelict phone boxes to be removed from Brent's streets. The local Liberal Democrat has previously raised the issue in the House of Commons in a parliamentary question to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Sarah Teather MP has written to the phone company's watchdog Ofcom and Brent Council calling for the removal of these eyesores from Brent's streets.

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"These derelict phone boxes are a monstrous eyesore. They seem to be regularly used as public toilets. They do nothing for the appearance of Brent's streets and just collect rubbish.

"I have called on the Council and OfCom to work together to ensure we get rid of these unused phone boxes once and for all."
