Sarah Teather has been arguing for more police on Brent's streets

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather today attended the launch of the 'Safer Neighbourhoods' launch in Kilburn. 'Safer Neighbourhoods' plans to provide Kilburn ward with a dedicated team of Police and Community Safety officers.

Commenting on the launch of the scheme local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"Community policing is what local people want to see. Not only do they want more police on the streets, they want police officers who they know and trust. I look forward to the day when the 'Safer Neighbourhoods' scheme is rolled out across Brent.

"The Liberal Democrats have long campaigned for more police officers on our streets. Too often the police are not allowed to get on with their job because of excessive paperwork."
