Derelict phone boxes blight Brent's streets

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather has today launched a petition to get derelict phone boxes off Brent's streets. Sarah has previously raised the issue in Parliament and written to both Brent Council and OfCOM calling for action to be taken to remove the phone boxes. Sarah is now launching a petition so that Brent residents can show their frustrations with these eyesores.

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"Derelict phone boxes are an eyesore in Brent. Local residents are sick and tired of seeing them being used as rubbish bins, fly-poster sites and public toilets. I hope that local people show their frustration at these monstrosities by signing my petition.

"I will keep pressing Brent Council, the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) and the telephone companies until we get action."
