Lib Dems marching against tuition fees

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather has today launched an interactive text poll on tuition fees. The Liberal Democrats are committed to scrapping tuition fees as they have done in Scotland. To pay for this we will introduce a 50p tax rate on incomes over £100,000.

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"Tuition fees will be one of the key issues to many at the forthcoming General Election. Many people are now suffering horrendous levels of debt because of Labour's broken promise on this issue. The Liberal Democrats would scrap tuition fees as we have done in Scotland. Tuition fees have affected thousands of people, they are an unfair tax on students."
