Liberal Democrats for Sudbury have demanded immediate Council action to clear up a mountain of rubbish at the newly opened Eithell Court, Crawford Avenue in Wembley. After the Council left new residents in the lurch over refuse collections. While new residents were being moved into the recently built into the twenty flats and four houses development the Council failed to make the necessary refuse arrangements resulting in a mountain of rubbish and packaging taking over a small car park. Local Liberal Democrat Councillor Chandu Patel said: "This is no way to welcome new residents to their homes. This episode just highlights the inefficiency and poor services provided by the council - local residents deserve better." The Liberal Democrat Councillors for Sudbury uncovered the mess on their regular walkabout of the Sudbury area and reported the matter for urgent council action. They are amazed that with the vast amount of money spent by the Labour Council on glossy leaflets and so-called 'Ward working' no one from the Council had noticed the problem or dealt with it.
