'Bon appetite' says Teather

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather today visited the Kilburn Square Medical Centre to see the work of 'Bon Appetite' a new scheme being launched at the centre by Health visitors.

The scheme hopes to demonstrate to young parents how to wean babies and to get them eating healthy foods. A similar scheme has been operating successfully out of the Health Centre on Mortimer Road.

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"Weaning can be a difficult time, especially for new parents. Lots of parents need a little guidance on what to feed their growing baby at different stages, and when they should worry if behaviour changes, and when it is perfectly normal.

"This session at Kilburn Square is great for offering parents advice and information, but also for providing mutual support of other mums and dads in exactly the same position. Well done to all involved in this project!"
